October/November 2022 – Major wins for Rosie and Rhone!
Rosie (Prairie Winds Rose of Cimmaron) and Rhone (Prairie Winds Robbers’ Roost) did a great job at the recent Southern Colorado Kennel Club show with major wins!
Both dogs are from the Maya/Ronin breeding.
June 2021 – The Prairie Winds Family Continues to Grow
Prairie Winds continues to grow with the addition of one of Maya’s first-litter puppies. Prairie Winds’ Rose of Cimmaron (Rosie) is a fireball of energy that keeps the other dogs on their toes!
May 2021 – CH Cornerstone’s Born Under a Lucky Star
Over two weekends, Nova tallied four 5-point majors in a row to finish her championship! We are so proud of this beautiful girl. She is a spectacular example of the breed and a very special part of the Prairie Winds family.
October 27, 2020 – Prairie Winds’ First Litter is Off to Their Forever Homes!
Maya’s first litter came through weaning in spectacular fashion. All eleven puppies are healthy and thriving and are off to their forever homes! We are so happy to welcome ten new human families to Prairie Winds!
July 17, 2020 – Update!!!
GC Cornerstone’s Quest for Magnificent Mayhem (Maya) was confirmed very pregnant today! CH Fairwinds Calypso’s Sam Eagle (Ronin) is the proud papa. Puppies are due in mid-August. We are so excited to welcome Prairie Winds’ first litter into the world!
June 2020 – Nova Rounds ’em Up
Nova and her sidekick Brian are showing real potential in herding. They are working hard with Anita Ramsey of JiJin Kennels and hope to pass their first trial in September.
Maya – Award of Merit
Each year at the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Specialty Show a select few of the dogs competing may be awarded an “Award of Merit”. We were so proud of Maya winning this award in 2018.
Maya – Grand Championship
In March of 2019 Maya completed her Grand Championship in fine style with a stunning weekend of 5 point majors.
Prairie Winds Keeps Growing
In March 2019, we added Cornerstone’s Born Under A Lucky Star to our growing kennel. We have high hopes for this girl!
